NOT ONLY THE FACT THAT I AM CONSTANTLY
STUCK BEHIND A CELL PHONE DRIVER, BUT
ALSO THIS GAVE ME THE IDEA TO DO A
POST ON CELL PHONES..........
DO NOT TAKE OFFENSE, I AM VENTING!!!!
What's Dirtier, Cell Phone or Toilet Seat?
THEY SAY THAT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SHOE IS CLEANER...
MAKES ME GLAD I DONT HAVE ONE...
I TOTALLY HATE CELL PHONES......
I WILL LIST BELOW THE REASONS WHY.......
1. YOU CANNOT HANG OUT WITH FRIENDS,
CARRY ON A CONVERSATION, OR EAT
WITHOUT THE DAMN THING RINGING.
THE SAD THING IS,
INSTEAD OF TURNING IT OFF EVERYONE FEELS
COMPELLED TO ANSWER IT NO MATTER WHAT!!!
2. PEOPLE FEEL THEY HAVE TO TALK REALLY LOUD OR
YELL WHILE THEY ARE ON A CELL PHONE.......
I HATE YOUR CELL PHONE AND DO NOT CARE
TO BE A PART OF YOUR CONVERSATION!!!!
3. PEOPLE USED TO HAVE THEM FOR EMERGENCY ONLY,
PROBLEM IS, IF YOU REALLY DO NEED IT IN CASE OF
EMERGENCY, YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR SERVICE AREA...........
4. THE HANDSFREE HEADSETS HAVE BEEN ON
THE MARKET FOR A LONG TIME, IN FACT, MOST
PHONES COME WITH SOME SORT OF HANDSFREE
CONTRAPTION, BUT NO ONE USES THEM!!!!
INSTEAD THERE ARE IDIOTS DRIVING AROUND HAVING WRECKS
THEY BECOME CARELESS, NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO
WHERE THEY ARE GOING OR WHAT IS GOING ON AROUND THEM....
5. I HAVE NOTICED THIS AT WALMART A LOT...
I WILL BE DRIVING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT EITHER
SEARCHING FOR A PARKING PLACE OR TRYING TO LEAVE
AND EVERYWHERE I LOOK, WALKING, IN THE CARS,
STANDING AROUND, EVERYONE IS ON A DAMN CELL
PHONE. THE THING THAT PISSES ME OFF THE MOST
IS WHEN SOME IDIOT IS TALKING ON THEIR CELLPHONE,
NOT PAYING ATTENTION AND THEY PULL RIGHT
OUT IN FRONT OF ME.......
LOTS OF WRECKS OCCUR BECAUSE OF PEOPLE ARE SO
INVOLVED IN THEIR DAMN CONVERSATION ABOUT
WHAT JANE NEXT DOOR IS DOING THAT THEY
FORGET THEY ARE DRIVING A DAMN CAR!!!
6. THEY HAVE NOT PROVEN THAT CELL PHONES DO
OR DO NOT CAUSE CANCER, BUT PEOPLE JUST KEEP
THEM ON THEIR EARS ANYWAY. KINDA LIKE PEOPLE
BEING TOLD TANNING BEDS ARE BAD FOR YOU IF YOU
USE THEM A LOT, BUT PEOPLE FRY IN THEM DAILY.
IF GOD WANTED US ON THE PHONE ALL THE TIME,
MUCH LESS A CELL PHONE,
HE WOULD HAVE MADE OUR EARS LIKE THIS.....
7. PEOPLE NOW FEEL THE NEED TO GET
CELLPHONES FOR THIER CHILDREN....
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY A 6 YEAR OLD NEEDS A CELL PHONE.
AS JOHN STOSSIL WOULD SAY, "GIVE ME A BREAK"
SO THERE, I HAVE GOTTEN THAT OFF MY CHEST.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE OFFENSE TO THIS IF YOU:
1. USE YOUR HANDSFREE DEVICE.
2. USE YOUR PHONE FOR BUSINESS, EMERGENCIES, AND
ESSENTIAL STUFF, NOT FOR GOSSIPING ABOUT YOUR NEIGHBOR.
3. DO NOT TALK ON YOUR PHONE WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING.
LIKE I SAID, I HATE CELL PHONES, BUT ONLY
BECAUSE OF THE WAY PEOPLE ABUSE THEM.
I ACTUALLY KNOW SOME PEOPLE THAT, I KID YOU NOT,
WOULD JUST NOT LOOK RIGHT WITHOUT THE PHONE UP TO THEIR EAR.
SO, IF YOU INSIST ON USING YOUR PHONES,
PLEASE USE THEM PROPERLY AND THINK ABOUT
THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU THAT DO NOT CARE
ABOUT YOUR CONVERSATION, DO NOT WANT TO HEAR
IT RINGING CONSTANTLY, AND DO NOT WANT TO
BE INTERUPTED BY PEOPLE CONSTANTLY CALLING YOU!!!!

Cell phones and drivers.... ugh! I have one, but only for work/kids. I won't answer it & drive. Just because I know I can't do both... (I'm just not that coordinated, lol) I'll pull over and call back. There's nothing that important that can't wait 2 minutes for me to find a place to talk. But, seriously... I hate when someone comes to the front desk talking on the phone and they want me to check them in while they're talking! I always refuse and tell them that I don't mind waiting until they're finished their conversation. That will piss some ppl off, but I don't care. Seriously.... I'm not a servant you can gesture at while you're talking to someone more 'important'... that's my pet peeve!
I feel your pain. I try my hardest NOT to talk on my cell when driving, but sometimes it is just unavoidable. The handsfree thing is complicated for me to pull out and put on for something I rarely do. I'm afraid trying to get the contraption on and plugged in will cause more of a chance to wreck than just answering and getting it over with. But I understand what you are saying completely. Whenever someone is driving like a flaming A in front of me, it always turns out they are on their cell phone...... My hub says they will soon be outlawed while driving. Let's hope so.

Cell phone drivers... GAH! Fucking idiots. That's all I gotta say. I only use my cell while driving if ABSOLUTELY necessary... like calling my mom to let her know I'm still alive. That's it.

Being that cellphones are germier than toilet seats...I now restrain myself from any compulsions I may have to LICK them.
And, yeah...lotsa cell rudeness and safety issues. I ADORE being in a doctors waiting room, listening to someones disgusting...ummm...symptoms, that they feel they need to report to friends..me, helpless to escape.
I think people go into a zone when on their cell..like no one HEARS what they say...kinda like the guy who picks his nose in traffic...no one can see him in his car...can they??? Oh, but we do, moron...and I'm bout to barf.

We actually got a cell phone for our Yorkies! I'm not kidding. It cost $4.95 and lasted all of a week. They weren't heavy enough to make it ring...so we had to squeeze it ourselves. Had a very loud annoying ring. One day when coming home I noticed cotton stuffing all over the hallway. Yep...they destroyed it. All that's left is the little squeezebox.
I totally agree with you on the cell phones....I dont have one and could care less to have one. I dont want to be bothered 24/7 from people I dont need to talk to. Well thanks for dropping by while I was camping, hope you have a great weekend
i habitually lose my cellphone I hate the thing. Though they are useful..most people abuse them and make them a priority..
There is increasing pressure around here to get kids cell phones for their 10th bday... MY kids will get one, when they NEED one..and then only for a reason not an entertainment..
hey. I love the venting against people who use their cell phones while in the car, but I use mine as well. However, what I hate the most is when people are talking on their phone and don't have a clue as to what they're doing. I at least try to pay attention. I've been known to mess up one time or another while on the phone (nothing major), and so I try not to be on the phone while driving. If it's bad outside I normally pull off of the road and talk on the phone instead of try to drive through pouring down rain while talking on my cell phone.
I haven't been able to watch it all summer, so I've been doing most of my catch up via Soap Opera Digest so forgive me if I'm wrong about anything. The wedding on days...hmm, that's a toughy. If the writers follow what they've always done, there's a good chance the wedding won't happen, which I like. As much as Sammie loves Austin, I would rather see her with Lucas. I did manage to watch one episode and I was a little confused, the way they were talking it sounded like Belle was pregnant again. Is that true? If so, how did she become pregnant with Shawn's baby? How were they able to get together again. I keep waiting for the secret of Claire really being Shawns. I can't believe that Jason Cook, Kyle Brandt, and Farah Fath are all leaving the show. It's not going to be the same. Especially, since they're wanting to recast Shawn. You can't replace Jason Cook. It was bad enough when they replaced Kirsten Storms. Grr!!! I want the person with the gloves to be stefano. As much as the man has "died" the actor is such a great one and I would like to see stefano back in action.
