LAST NIGHT WE HAD THIS AWESOME STORM COME THROUGH....
I JUST LOVE SITTING ON THE BACKPORCH WATCHING THE LIGHTENING..
I GOT SOME PICS OF IT, TOOK 200+ SHOTS TO GET 3 SHOTS THAT ACTUALLY CAME OUT...
THEN I REALIZED THAT I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED ONE OF THEM SO NOW I HAVE TWO!!!
SINCE I AM DOING PICS TODAY,
I FIGURED I WOULD GO ON AND DO MY
WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE
This weeks subject comes from Czolya
defining shots away from home
He wrote: By this, I mean to post photos that people have taken either on vacation, a long travel, or a short trip that have defined/underscored the overall experience of that period of time. The frame of time away from home doesn't matter, it could have lasted a year, a week, or just a few hours. What I am looking for is a shot that defines the person's experience. If a person can't place one picture then more than one is fine.
THIS WASNT REALLY A VACATION BUT MORE OF A TRIP AWAY FROM HOME OVERNIGHT TO SPEND TIME WITH MY SON AND I LEFT REALLY EARLY IN THE MORNING CAUSE I HAD TO GET HOME TO TAKE CARE OF THE DOGS WHICH HAD BEEN HERE ALL NIGHT BY THEMSELVES BECAUSE MY OTHER SON DIDNT COME IN AND SO THIS IS LIKE 7 IN THE MORNING ON THE WAY HOME. IT WAS SO PEACEFUL WHICH IS THE EXPERIENCE...
I JUST LOVE A AWESOME SUNRISE!!!

The lightening is absolutely electrifying! Hehee... great pics! I guess with my post today, I inadvertantly took that challenge. Who knew?
BE blessed!

Like it said in the story silly..hahaha..its slang for a part of the female anatomy.
Love the lightening pic!!! The sunrise pics are super cool as well. Why does it always seem so peaceful during sunrise/sunset?
Thanks for sharing! I like the blurred, third photo the best. Thanks for dropping by the site!
great pictures! you are like me taking so many of the weather! lol..
I love the early morning but just hate to have to get up to enjoy it!
You got one!! yeah!! I lived in Randburg where we had spectacular thunderstorms al around. It is one of the things I remembered most clearly because the bolts of lighting will strike almost next to the house. We had a room with three sides facing out with large window...and if you sat there it felt as if you were in the eye of the storm....I never got a decent shot however on camera....maybe it is because I did not take 200+ photos.
lovely pictures. Thank you for the update on Days. I got to watch it yesterday, but probably won't be able to watch the rest of this week unless my roommate's in class. Do you think the wedding will happen? I'm so excited that Chelsea now knows because I know she'll bring it all out. I hope all is well with you. Peace out and take care.
. . . on the road again. .. . . .
wonderful!
Oh yes, traveling time. I go up to Northern Idaho every year for a family gathering... count the toes on the little ones and catch up on who is doing what and where. I'll be leaving next Wednesday and will come back to So. Cal. after the Labor Day weekend. It is always a good time and I just love the whole thing... traveling across that landscape on the way there... the family stuff and the mountains and lake there... and then coming home to my cat, Slick.
