I USE THE XANGA TO POST BLOGS AND VENT
AND I USE THE MYSPACE MAINLY FOR PICS
AND BECAUSE MY KIDS AND PEOPLE THAT I
ACTUALLY KNOW PERSONALLY ARE ON THERE.
I BELIEVE THAT THEY BOTH HAVE THEIR OWN
QUALITY, FOR INSTANCE, I FEEL CLOSER TO
THE PEOPLE ON HERE, I CAN BE ME, I CAN SAY
WHAT I WOULD REALLY SAY, WHEREAS
ON MYSPACE IT IS MORE A MATTER OF CHECKING
COMMENTS, CHECKING MESSAGES, LOOKING
AT PICS AND SLIDE SHOWS, BUT NOT REALLY
COMMUNICATING. YOU DO LOTS OF BULLETIN
SURVEYS AND AND IT IS ALL ABOUT GETTING
LOTS OF FRIENDS ON YOUR FRIENDS LIST THAT
YOU WILL PROBABLY NEVER EVEN COMMENT TO
OR DONT EVEN HAVE ANYTHING IN COMMON...
LIKE I SAID, YES, I HAVE A MYSPACE...
I ALSO HAVE 700+ FRIENDS, BUT OF THOSE
FRIENDS, MOST ARE BANDS THAT I JUST LIKE
TO LISTEN TO AND ADDED THEM AS FRIENDS
BECAUSE I LIKE THE MUSIC THEY PLAY...
I DONT LEAVE THEM COMMENTS, I DONT GO
TO THEIR SITES OFTEN, I BASICALLY USE IT
FOR NOTIFICATION OF THE WHERE ABOUTS
OF THE BAND AND IF THEY MIGHT BE PLAYING
NEARBY, OR NEW CDS COMING OUT, OR
TELEVISION APPEARANCES, AND SO ON...
I BASICALLY COMMENTS TO MY FRIENDS,
MY SONS, AND THE FEW XANGANS THAT
I HAVE FOUND ON THERE.

Dear Pogue,
I'm writing this in my guise as "Internet Island". I guess you missed my announcements! I set this site up for the blogring separately from my own site because some folks wanted a separate place than my blog. (An "island" if you will). I've had two topics since November, and another will be posted soon, since it's the 15th today.
So you still have time to write about any or all of the current topics HERE. Also, please SUBSCRIBE, as I announce the topics to Islanders using the Message feature. Thanks for asking.

Have a myspace, but despite Xanga's problems, Xanga is a far easier site to create, set-up, edit, post to, etc., But don't let Xanga know!
I have a myspace. I used to use it more than I do now. I mainly used it to send private messages to xanga friends (who were also on myspace), but now that xanga has the "message" feature I rarely go on myspace. I like xanga better!
Poor things, they do look so sad.
I don't have a MySpace. Just never had the urge to get one.
Will keep them in my prayers. I don't use Myspace, it's not a writing thing and I like writing things. I addressed your catagory.
Let's hope good things for both Travises!!1 LOL at the surveys. I don't have a MySpace--I can barely keep up on Xanga, because of dialup. MySpace doesn't interest me--my daughter and her friends love it! Love to you.
He will be in my thoughts and prayers. I had a MySpace but didn't find it worked for me. Of course I am an old guy and most of the people there are young.

Ok, I have a myspace account but it's mostly for playing with html when I feel like it and get a free minute and posting stupid bulletins and crap like that. Also for searching for people I used to know. All 5 of them.
I keep my xanga because people actually read it. Nobody reads posts on myspace. That's just not cool.
Got a whole town full of guys over in Iraq. The country's largest National Guard camp is in our county. They and their loved ones are all in my prayers and those of so many, many others.
Another thought... so glad you like Pits! We have a variety of Pits and Pit mixes at our shelter. They are charming, lovable dogs.

thank you! i almost was one of those in women in a boxing match close to christmas over a special thing that hejust had to have! ill explain lol... i buy new pjs every year to be opened on christmas eve, my mom did it and now i do it its very important to me. so me and layne were at pennys one day and i was like hey buddy you like these cars pjs and he said yes mommy can they be my christmas pjs and i said of course they can, i went back a few days later with out layne and BAM no pjs. not even like 5 sizes too big NONE
crap
so i went to walmart- the only other place i had seen cars pjs
must have been a run on pjs this year (lol)

there were TWO PAIR of pjs left on the huge PJ WALL cars (that i had to have) and superman(WHICH WOULDNT HAVE WORKED)
buuuuuuuuuuuut
THERE WAS SOMEONE ELSE EYEING MY CARS PJS.
she turned to her husband"superman? or cars?" i polietly answered her with "SNATCH(not an ugly word but the sound the hanger made when i yanked it off the wall)

as far as myspace vs. xanga
i joined xanga years ago. had lots of friends lots of comments... but it started dying out it seems. a friend turned me on to myspace and like you said i like how i know real people on there and it helps me keep in touch with my real friends. well people who i could be friends with if for some reason people still hung out in person lol i like xanga for pics i'll put a link on my myspace saying... pics on xanga. i dont really like myspace especially since i had to make mine private. i cut my friends list down by taking 55 people off but i didnt want to take them off and most of them were people i knew. i dunno xanga is seeming safer to me right about now!
