IT IS ABOUT A 13-YEAR OLD GIRL WHO HAS A MYSPACE THAT SAYS SHE IS 19-YEARS OLD AND DIVORCED AND SHE BASICALLY HAS BEEN LURING MEN TO HAVE SEX WITH HER AND THUS FAR TWO HAVE GOTTEN BUSTED AND SENT TO PRISON, THE FIRST FOR 5 YEARS, THE SECOND FOR 1 YEAR.

MY QUESTION IS......
SHOULDNT THE GIRL BE PUNISHED FOR HER ACTIONS?
SHOULD THE MEN GET A LIGHTER SENTENCE?
BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING... PLEASE NOTE, I DO NOT CONDONE JUST GOING AROUND HAVING SEX...I THINK THAT IT IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE DONE OUT OF LOVE, NOT OUT OF BODILY URGES. I ALSO THINK THAT A 13 YEAR OLD GIRL IS NOT OLD ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEORY. I ALSO AGREE THAT THE MEN SHOULD NOT GET OFF SCOTT FREE FOR HAVING SEX WITH HER, AS THAT IS THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR JUST GOING AROUND SCREWING PEOPLE, WHETHER THEY ARE OF AGE OR NOT...
MY PROBLEM IS THAT:
1. THE GIRL GOT NO PUNISHMENT WHATSOEVER.
2. THE GUYS WILL PROBABLY BE PUT ON A CHILD MOLESTATION LIST FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES NOW, ONLY BEING THOUGHT OF AS CHILD MOLESTERS WHEN THEY DIDNT INTENTIONALLY "MOLEST" A CHILD.
3. THE PARENTS WERE NOT PUNISHED FOR NOT CONTROLLING THEIR CHILD...THE FIRST TIME, I UNDERSTAND, BUT ONCE IT WAS BROUGHT TO THEIR ATTENTION, DONT YOU THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING ABOUT HER?
4. THE MYSPACE WAS LEFT UP AFTER THE FIRST TIME, SHOULDNT SHE HAVE BEEN ORDERED TO REMOVE THE MYSPACE? NOT ONLY THAT, BUT SHE IS 13, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE 14 TO HAVE A MYSPACE ACCORDING TO MYSPACE RULES.
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ABOUT THESE ISSUES?

Whew! That is quite a can of worms!!! 1. Young lady needs to be severely punished.....grounded till she's 35, at least!!!! 2. Ya....he should be permitted to get his name removed when his sentence is up (but prob won't be...) 3. Parents? Take responsibility for their children? Oh what an ancient notion! LOL 4. We aren't even going to touch how I feel about minors and unsupervised MySpace/Facebook accounts! My mother and I keep track of our teenagers accounts and KNOW what's going on. If something inappropriate is happening, we nip it in the bud immediately. Internet is a treat, not a requirement! Well.....other than that, what's going on in your neck of the woods? LOL
Twisted world... What happened to accountability? She was wrong, very wrong! Her parents were wrong for letting the myspace continue.... The young man should not have to spend a year in jail, 5 years of probation, have his future ruined to some degree, because he was misled by a child who was, obviously, undersupervised and fraudulently misrepresented herself!

I've got to say the whole justice system is really screwed up! This is just another example. My girlfriend is 18 & I'm 22 and I've been going out with her since she was 17. Now when she was 16, without me asking her, she sent me a photo of her topless and when we was going out, some more intimate photos at the age of 17. Now just for having these photo's, even though I did not ask for any of them, I could go to jail / on the sex offenders register!
When I was on holiday there were these 3 gorgeous girls there we was dancing with, they looked about 18 but told us they were 18 and 19. My mate went back to one of there room's, as far as I am aware, nothing actually happened, normally I wouldn't believe that but he was a virgin at the time and terrible with women and as he's still saying he's a virign (that's not something a guy would normally be proud to admit, especially not at 20) I doubt he's lying. The next day in one of the show's, 2 of the girls were called up on stage and due to the fact that there parents were there, they couldn't exactly lie and said they were both 15. Now girls these day's look a hell of alot older than they actually are. I know for a fact that if anything had of happened that night if anything had come of it, the fact that she told him she was 18 wouldn't have come into it, he would have been sent to jail, end of story.
I'm not trying to be sexist, but women have a lot more rights in the justice system than men especially when talking about underage stuff, how many women, other than teachers have you heard go to jail over sleeping with an underage teenage boy. To be perfectly honest, excluding teachers, I can't think of any. Same with custody battles, unless the women is considered mentally unstable or a drugy or something along those lines, the mother would always win custody of the child. I'm so sick of it that me and my girlfriend have both agreed to leave the country as soon as she's done with her uni.
In some states the age of consent is 16. However, she was posing as a 19 year old which is wrong, but damn dudes..You should be asking for an ID or something. My daughter had a male friend who had sex with a girl who lied about her age. He went to jail for a bit and now has a permanent record of it. Damn is all I can say.
on another note. How are you!? I'm making an effort this time and hope to do some serious catching up.
